HTC Aria Review (1st Part) - Unboxing

I've been using HTC devices since the year 2007, my first device was HTC Touch, later I upgraded to HTC HD2, This is my first Android device, and if you ask me, I think Android is a pretty cool device coz it's really simple and user friendly... Anyway, since I am given an opportunity by Digi and Nuffnang to review HTC Aria for 2 weeks, I would be reviewing it into 3 parts.

At the outset, let's look the difference between HTC Aria and other phones..

 

As you can see HTC HD2 does look bigger but the screen size of Aria is decent than other HTCs such as Touch 2, which is way smaller than these. 

Hahaha... HD2 is quite big for ladies to hold it as it requires big hand to hold it... Aria would definitely fit the ladies interest as it is smaller, sleek and sexier too... Guys, don't get offended, this phone doesn't look too girlish for you to avoid it... Aria is BISEXUAL :P

The launch of Blackberry Torch by Celcom

On 29th October 2010, Celcom launched Blackberry Torch officially. I attended the press conference which was scheduled at 3.30pm at the La Bodega Restaurant in Pavillion. I met few other bloggers as well such as Zaid, Kak Ina, and Chearmster  (who look like Azwan Hj.Ali). In the restaurant, there was free flow on the drinks and snacks. I was shocked at the amount of people queuing up for the Blackberry.

As you all may know, first 8 persons get to purchase the Blackberry at RM8, the following 100 will get it at RM488 and the next 100 can purchase it at RM888. The original price is RM2500. So, i say the promotion by Celcom was indeed good... The first person to be there was Andrew and followed by Aina who came there to queue as early as 4am... whoa!!! you heard me right, they came to queue at 4 in the morning.

I got my first Buffered Earning!!!

Yay, I got my first buffered earning. This is my best birthday ever. I didn't expect my 30th birthday to turn out so great. I spent the whole day with my hubby. We went for shopping, watch movie (The Other Guys),had lunch and dinner together... and when I checked my email, I was so happy to find out that I am invited to the Digi Internet Gathering tomorrow at the Grand Modesto's... hooray!!! I can't believe it.. to top it of, I got my first BE...

But yesterday, I came back home at 12.30am coz my car tyre was punctured and had to wait for the mechanic to fix it for me. I waited from 10.30 till 11.30pm, but he kept on telling me 20 minutes he'll reach there... i finally got fed up and called my hubby to come and fix it for me... so, although the day of my birthday started not as I expected... but it turned to be the best and unforgettable one...

My first Nuffnang Premiere Screening 'You Again'

As I have mentioned in my earlier post, I won 2 tickets to watch 'You again' at eCurve. I asked my hubby to come home early on Friday. We have not gone for a movie for a very long time. Anyway, I reached there at 8.30pm and I saw Ms. Lily and Ruby were already there taking photos with Nuffnang Management who were distributing the tickets. After collecting my tickets, my hubby and I went to buy some food, coz we were starving like hell.

After that, I was taking some pictures with my new gadget (Nikon S3000) and my hubby was quite impressed with it.  

Now, my hubby is calling me by a new nickname which is 'Nuffnang'... hahaha... Reason?? I am taking photos of everything and I am making sure that I am updating my blog everyday, of course I am actively participating all Nuffnang contests... these are the reasons why he is calling me Nuffnang.. kahkahkah...

I loved the movie a lot. It is an outrageous comedy starrring Kristen Bell, Odette Yustman Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver and not to forget James Wolk who resembles Kyle Chandler. Kristen Bell is the nerd younger sister of James (in real life James is 5 years younger than Kristen) and she was always bullied by the famous group in her school. It is because of the Brother's encouragement that she'll finally hatch out of her coccoon and become a beautiful girl a few years later  and eventually be promoted to VP in PR.

Unfortunately, her happiness did not last long as the girl she hated in high school is about to become her future sister in law. She became infuriated when Odette pretended not to know her... I would spoil it if I tell you the entire story. So, get to the nearest theatre to watch this movie.

I love Sigourney Weaver and Jamie Lee Curtis in this movie. They look beautiful despite their age. I bet girls would be drooling watching James Wolk and guys, you'd love to see Odette... Overall, I would rate this movie 8 out of 10, less 2 marks because I think they could have added some other mean stuff that always happen in high school.

I received the invitation on 18th Oct (Monday) at about 6.30pm... but I only saw it today in my spam folder... Lucky, I saw it if not, I would have missed my first Premiere Screening... So, who else is going???

Liverpool vs Everton

Liverpool lost by 2 goals with Everton... Seriously, I don't know why Liverpool are not performing well these days... Today was the first game with their new owners, yet I saw them performing badly... I wonder whether their mood of playing was affected because their owner had changed.

Judging by the game that they played today, I have a few comments or shoud I say it is my hubby who's been complaining about their game.

1. They need more attacking formation
2. They need to get rid of Lucas
3. They need to play Babel and Jovanovic more often
4. They need another striker
5. They need a new manager

I think Roy Hodgson needs to view the game on the TV coz obviously he can't see the formation that he has planned. Watching from the screen, makes everything obvious but don't know why and I don't know what was Roy's plan, the game ended with such a bad results. Why does every new manager at the Kop always plays safe football???? Doesn't anyone see that the true Liverpool game play is and has always been attacking. Didn't Roy learn anything from Rafa's blunders?? Wonder what is on John W. Henry's mind... Can he bring the glory days back to the Kop like he has done with the Red Sox.... I sure hope he isn't just planning on making a quick buck and instead is truly interested in the LFC spirit... I say give Roy till the end of November and if things don't turn around for LFC, bring King Kenny back to the helm of the Kop...

God...I hope that things get better...

Alicia Keys welcomes baby boy...

Yup, Alicia Keys welcomed baby boy on Oct 15. She had a smooth delivery and she is a happy mother now.. Alicia Keys married Beatz this year July 31 on the French Island of Corsica. Beatz has 3 other children from previous relationships. I wonder when they are going to publish her baby's pictures...

I am not sure whether she is going to take some time off to take care of her newborn. Anyway, I am really happy for her. A child in a family is a real blessing.
