Open Glitterati Plus Meeting @ Taylor's University

Today I work up early to attend the Open Glitterati Plus Meeting @ Taylor's University. First of all, I didn't know that there was a University there coz I've been to that place on the year 2005 but nothing was there... so, I guess it's a new place... anyway, the university is really beautiful and I really like the architecture of the building too...

Back to the topic, the meeting was scheduled from 10am to 2pm. But I reached there at about 10.20am coz had to drop my hubby off to the mechanic shop. I thought I was late, hehehe... thank god they haven't started yet... at 10.30am, Mr. Timothy Tiah, co-founder of Nuffnang made an opening speech, followed by Mr. Shah author of Memoirs of a Teh Tarik Drinker who made the presentation of the Glitteratti Plus Club... the presentation ended with some Q & A session... which 'moi' asked loads of questions... I love asking... hahaha... school time never ask but now kaki sibuk already... kahkahkah...

So, you might be wondering what is Glitteratti Plus right??? Ok, I am sure you know that all Nuffnangers who does not have other advertisements from competitors of nuffnang are automatic glitterati members of Nuffnang. Nikon S3000 Coolpix, My new Gadget!!!

whoohooo... I'm elated now... I got a new camera... It is none other than Nikon S3000... I know... I know.. my wishlist was Nikon D5000 but it is over my budget... after all it is more than Rm2K. So, I'm not going to buy that... need to enhance my skills on photography first before laying my hands on them...

Anyhooooo, I like this camera a lot after doing some survey on it... so, my mother in law got me this for my birthday... hehehe... so lucky me to get such a wonderful mother in law... and of course I'm a good daughter in law... hahaha... so, tomorrow I get to use my new camera for the open glitteratti meeting... can't wait... review and some pictures of it will come soon...

HTC HD 7 is released in Malaysia

Yup, HTC HD 7 is released!!! Hmmm... iPhone 4 was released last month and now HTC HD7... wow.. almost all phone manufacturers are competing to produce the best PDA. On the outset, I am sure that you know that a few months back, Apple has sued HTC alleging, they have infringed iPhone patents and in return HTC has sued Apple back as well with the same reason. Personally, I think that iPhone and HTC are from 2 different world. They can never be the same... Both are good touch phones, in fact if you compare them with other touch phones... I would say these two are the best...

So, back to Windows 7 model, HTC HD7, a GARGANTUAN. It has 512 MB ROM and 576 RAM, it looks like HD2 and like HD2, it has 5 megapixel color camera with dual LED flash that can also be used as a video light when capturing a HD video at 720p. As for the still images, you can select scenes such as candlelight, landscape and portrait to match the environment. It has 3G, unfortunately, you can't do video call because there is no secondary video in front. HTC needs to come up with more phones with video call capability.

There is a kick stand at the back, when you want to watch a movie, so, you no longer have to hold it on your hands... phew... it's tiring to hold it for a long time... hehehe....Internal storage is 8GB in Europe and for Asia it is 16GB... whoohoooo... Now, I don't know why they give more internal storage to 16GB... maybe coz Asian are more kaki download stuff... hehehee... I am one of them too... I like to download loads into my HD2... :P

As for the applications, Notes is a cool one, because it allows you to post reminder on the virtual pin board... I wonder whether I can download it on my HD2. Hmmm... must do some research... Other than that, Sound Enhancer can give some difference when you listen to songs...

If you are already thinking of getting it... I have news for you... Maxis is going to be the first telco bringing in these beauties... So, you are going to have a dilemma in choosing between iPhone 4 or HTC HD7... Market price is not revealed yet in Malaysia... but I have compared the price in US and Europe, so, I think it's going to be between RM2600 - RM3200 here.

Yup, if you are looking to increase your earnings through your blog, Commission Junction is the place you should register yourself. First of all, you need to register yourself at their website which is http://www.cj.com/. After registering, you can select your advertisers... they have more than 2000 on their site and 63% of all the big advertisers are registered at CJ. You can pick advertisers who adverstise here in Malaysia. When I checked it out, there were about 400 of them, so, just pick the one which interests you. However, the selection process is upon agreement by the advertisers only. Some of them approve after looking at your site or they will see your blog relevance to their products. After your application is approved, you can select the advertiser and select the banners that you would like to put in your site. It is that simple.

Oh, you might want to know how much they offer right?? Actually, it depends on which advertiser you choose. Some will pay you US$50 per sale and there are also as low as US$0.25 per lead. Most of them offers percentage on how much sales you have brought for the advertisers through the link that you have posted in your website. In short, they will pay by sales or the leads that you give them.

As the title states, Tidy-Neat Organizer is my life saviour. Yup, my handbag is so organized now and it takes me less than 5 seconds to retrieve whatever I need from my bag. Hahaha... I'm so happy...

I bought this from tidy_neat@yahoo.com. They come in 2 sizes which are Medium and Large. I got the Medium one which is priced at RM35. I was looking for a bag organiser for god only knows how long. Luckily, while I was browsing for a proper channel to sell my Ardell Lashes, I came across this organiser.

PMR will be abolished in 2016

This topic has nothing to do with beauty as it is suppose to be in my blog... but it is about the future of our next generation... Yesterday's headline on The Star  read 'No more PMR'. I don't know what to say... This decision was made after 2 roundtable sessions. I don't know what is the content of the roundtable sessions but I am quite sure all the students who are supposed to sit for the examinations on 2016 would have jumped of joy. 

To tell the truth, I am a bit scared. Although I am not going to sit for the exam and I don't have a kid who is going to sit for the exam but I am afraid that the students are going to be more playful than ever. I have seen my nephews and nieces who only sit and study when the major exams are just around the corner. Now, with the abolishment is in place, it is going to be worst....but now that I'm writing about it here, it came to my mind that maybe they are not burdened with the pressure of exam...  hmmm... that sounds something positive...

Yup, I guess there is something good coming out of this coz the students will be more relaxed. I still remember reading news about students who were disappointed with their results, committed suicide. In fact, I was disapointed with my PMR results coz I didn't score straight As. I felt I had disgraced my family. Now, I think it is so silly of me to have thought like that. My parents especially my mom had said that she is so proud of me,(although I didnt' become a doctor), of my achievements and etc. 

Maybe replacing PMR with school based assignments will bring some good to the pupils. Parents won't be competitive anymore in comparing their children's achievement and they won't pressure their kids to score all As in their exams. So, what do you think??

My Perfect 10

Hahaha... today is 10.10.10, I read the post by Paris B on her www.mywomenstuff.com. She was asking who and what is my perfect 10. Well, my perfect 10 is none other than my dearest husband. Yup, my had turned out so much better after I met him in my life. If there is a woman in every man's success... behind my every success is my husband. He is my motivator, a person who cheers me up when I am down and he is the one who makes my world so beautiful. It has already been 3 years since we've married and 5 years I've known him but I feel I've just known him. I always look forward to see him first thing in the morning and the last person I see at the end of the day.  So, he's my perfect 10. :)

My perfect thing is none other than my handbag by Pierre Ballman which I bought from Pavillion during Raya Sales... I love it so much because I can put all my necessary things in it. I can fit my small diary, office key, umbrella, purse, 2 handphones, hand lotion, perfume, nail cutter, hard disk drive, sunglasses, my makeup bag, cheque book, office keys, house keys, car keys... and I still have more space in it...  My hubby calls me Dibo the Gift Dragon coz what ever he asks for, I'll get it from my bag... hahaha... So, there you go my perfect 10 list. How about you?? What is your perfect 10???

Yay!!! the movie YOU AGAIN which I have been waiting for, will be in cinema on 21st October 2010. And the best part is NUFFNANG is offering free tickets for 60 creative bloggers who blogs about the person whom u don't like in the past... hahaha... when i read that, the first person came into my mind is ST... I was in primary school and she was one of my BFF... I always invite her to my house, share my food, and we share lots of time together... she is from a rich family (i think.. .and i still think she was) so, she'll have this cool gadgets like auto pencil box, where u click one button, one part of the pencil box will open by itself... ( I am surprised, I even remember it... i must be deeply affected by it... hahahaha :P) anyway, I always don't see her as showing off... but my friends used to think she boasts a lot...

She always talks about her house which has a large swimming pool inside the house... I have never been to her house coz she has never invited me (even for CNY too)... yet she had come to my house numerous time and my mom had made her some thosai which she loves a lot... I will tell her tales to my mom and my mom said that she's lying, impossible to have a pool in a house... (maybe she was living in condominium kut... kehkehkeh) Anyway, I can't say I didn't like her but I always wanted to be as good as her... and sometimes she treats me like dirtbag, asking to do this and that...eventually I started disliking her because despite me being nice to her,she didn't treat me well... so, that was the girl whom I don't like that much...

Hmmmm... I hope I will be able to win the free tickets to watch the movie with fellow nuffnangers... I would love to meet other nuffnangers....

Nikon D5000

Fellow blogger, melmonica suggested Nikon D5000. And after reading about it, I really fell in love with it... and looking at melmonica's blog, the picture qualities are really good... I mean I love photography and I appreaciate people who takes images of something simple that people ignore in daily life. I want to be a photographer who appreciates beauty of life... Life is short... hahaha... I am rambling away from the topic...

Anyway, I am thinking about brainwashing my hubby to get this one... but that going to take me tremendous effort to do so... sigh... should have invested in this model long time ago... Crap... I was so dumb in buying a camera at that time...

Credit Card?? Nah... I've been refraining myself from using it again... I stopped spending lavishly... ever since the economic downturn a year ago... I realised that it is important to have savings...

Hmmm... maybe I'll win  a RM 1million lottery... hahaha... What other avenues shall I use to get this one??? (Cracking brains!!!)
